My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thought this was an interesting and informative read.

I picked it up for the first time on a school field trip to Nasville, Tn, where my teachers basically turned us lose for two hours and I took my friends to a book store. I found this book on a shelf of “Christmas Suggestions.” I’m not sure why it was there, but I’m glad it was.

I had never heard of the murder itself, but I’d certainly heard of some of the others facts that were mentioned; Rough Riders, Stanley & Dr. Livingston, yellow journalism, and Nellie Bly.

I found myself completely captivated by the style of the writing, and the story itself. I’ve always been a fan of mysteries, and found this to be a fun and informative true life murder mystery.
