Desert Island Book Tag

Booksxorxmisery posted the Desert Island Book Tag (and we’re not sure where it came from, I couldn’t find the source either) and it really caught my attention so I’m going to try it out myself.

Water — A book you simply cannot live without

The Harry Potter series. Remember: “Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”

Food— A book that is a close second on your favourites list

Seraphina and the sequel Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman.

Shelter — A book that makes you feel at home and safe

The Nancy Drew series. I always wished I had Nancy’s father as a kid.

Flare Gun — A book you would recommend to someone who doesn’t read

Jessica Day George’s writing style is amazing, and she manages a good story without making it difficult to follow.

Matchsticks — A book that warms your heart

I’m going to cheat a little and say anything by Gail Carson Levine. Her books are always so wonderful and classic, with a heavy emphasis on characters and their relationships to each other.

Compass — A book that directed you towards your love of reading

The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.
